Anthony Earl Sun, 08 Apr 2018 01:32:42 +0000 en-US hourly 1 The Power of Anticipation Sat, 07 Apr 2018 15:45:40 +0000 […]]]> The Power of Anticipation is the focus of this month’s blog.  Anticipating the best life has is our focus in April.  April, the month where the weather is fulfilling its natural course of change.  Change is essential for growth.  Spring is upon us.  We all love positive changes.  Optimism is an excellent prescription for success.  April has a way of creating a fresh sense of hope.  We look forward to casting off the old and replacing with the new.  New habits, new attitudes, new pursuits.  Discarding things that have not served you well in the past season and anticipating better exploits in the next.

After a gruesome winter with all of its challenges, we anticipate a rise in temperature.  The dawn of blooming plants and flowers are signs of change that invokes a fresh outlook.  The greening of the grass, budding of flowers and the sweet aroma of springtime, are all designed to affect us positively. Vibrant spring colors stimulate us with happy thoughts of what is on the horizon.  We envision something better, newer and more exciting.  We plan for holidays and vacations that enrich our lives with experiences to draw upon for a lifetime.  None of this would be possible without the planting and preparation of the previous months.  Now we reap the rewards of winter.

Cycles in life are inevitable. We all have seasons that we do not particularly care to prolong.  In this life, seasons come and go, and storms pass.  The storm’s electrifying power creates change in the landscape.  Likewise, life’s storms make adjustments in our attitude, lifestyle, and priorities in life. However, our resilient temperament enables us to adapt to severe changes quickly.  After the initial shock, we regroup and design a more enriching environment in which to live, the fruit of anticipating the best outcome.  Positivity births new rays of hope that break forth with beams of excitement.

Hopeful anticipation is a gift that invokes certainty of positive change.  The energy of it can move us that much closer to balance, sobriety, and a higher fulfillment in life.  Anticipate the best and discard all pessimism.  Become hopeful and see a brighter future for you and your family.  The scriptures are about efficacious outcomes.  In Genesis, Abraham hoped against hope.  The odds of Sarah giving birth was against them.  In spite of the odds, he anticipated a promised outcome.  His bold stance to believe resulted in his desire fulfilled.  Joseph’s youthful dreams projected a bright future for him.  However, he learned to stay the course in hope even when things looked bleak.  He was sold into slavery, wrongly placed in prison but his belief in God elevated him from the prison to the palace.

Everything has an intelligent design.  Nothing is a coincidence.  Life has natural cycles. Destiny and purpose ultimately evolve towards fulfillment.  It also works through the missteps of humanity with all of its baggage.  Nature has a built-in technology to renew itself.  Leaves wither, flowers fade, but they get reset and come back as beautiful as before.  We too have the power to reset unwanted outcomes in life.  It exists within the power of hope.

The technology of God, the Bible, teaches us to realize beforehand, to foresee favorable conclusions, in the midst of insurmountable odds.  He instructs us how to exchange dreadful consequences for powerful positive ones surgically.  Some surgeries happen in the natural and some in the supernatural.  We have access to them both.  Embrace a posture to expect change for better.  Embrace the desire for a more enriched life.  A confident expectation of a better life is right.  Rid yourself of stagnated thinking by anticipating newer and brighter seasons in life.  Nature is our reminder that it can all get better.  It’s only a matter of time.  Let your time be NOW!

Divine Partnerships Mon, 12 Mar 2018 10:00:06 +0000 […]]]> This month, let’s explore the value of divine partnerships. Whether for a short-term project, long-term assignment or life’s journey, they are critical to our personal development and successful outcome in life. Countless times I have been told that no man is an Island. That is such a valid statement. We all are interdependent in many ways. “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NKJV) Godly partnerships play a significant role in our lives. Some for a season, others for a reason and few for a lifetime. The world is too big to be conquered alone.

I challenged myself to go to the next level in giving the best of myself at all times. Sometimes I think many are guilty of “winging” a given assignment. Winging it is going through the natural motions of getting things done, but, it is absent of the best you have to offer. I have learned some valuable lessons in life from my wife, Caterina.  She, at many times, inspires me to become better. This inspiration has made me want to become phenomenal.

I’m often reminded that to fulfill our purpose in life requires giving our best at all times. In fact, it cheapens a valuable gift given to us by God when we do anything less. Let’s take a look at examples in scripture to avoid making similar mistakes.  Let’s examine the life of Esau. Esau didn’t value his birthright.  He sold it for a temporary satisfaction of porridge and was more interested in his stomach than in fulfilling his destiny as a firstborn son.  Had he understood the importance of his birth order, maybe he would have had a different attitude.

A lackadaisical attitude can cause one to run shipwreck.  Position make all the difference for a win.  Our approach can determine our altitude.  A great leader set the pace towards success for those who follow.  In this case, it was Esau who was positioned to influence his younger brother Jacob.  He despised his birthright and abdicated the responsibility to help Jacob to become exceptional.  The making for great synergy for a fantastic life ended up as a lost opportunity.

Divine partnerships are about giving your best for the betterment of others.  We must develop partnerships with those we can trust to assist us in making a more significant difference in life.  It’s about creating a combined effort to empower each other to go the distance.  Divine partnerships are about reaching your full potential and enabling others to soar to heights they couldn’t reach alone.

Partnerships are designed to sharpen you. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17

Do you find yourself settling or doing just enough to get by?  Without accountability, we can get lost in a vacuum of lethargy and stagnation.  Genuine friends can assist you in stepping up your game!  They can champion you in becoming your best!  Real friends aren’t afraid to tell you the painful truth.  “Faithful are the wounds of a friend they are better than the kisses of an enemy.”

I have been fortunate to have a few faithful friends. They are my rock. I am also blessed to have a crown jewel of friendship, my wife, Caterina.  She epitomizes the model helpmeet.  I couldn’t have prayed for a better partner. Choose all of your partnerships wisely.

When seeking divine connections one must first pray and ask Abba for perfect relationships.  Not perfect meaning without flaws, but meaningful divine friendships with those genuinely interested in supporting your win and fulfilling your Kingdom assignment. I’ve learned to acknowledge that God is the best source for crafting ideal relationships.  Accurate partnerships are the fruit of having a right relationship with Him.  He is the author and finisher of our journey.

I hope that you align yourself with great people so that you can secure a positive and fruitful outcome in life.

Learning to Rest Fri, 02 Feb 2018 06:54:47 +0000 […]]]> Friends, this month’s blog is about learning how to REST! The process of becoming so centered that life’s troubles don’t enslave us with worry.  We know all too well how unrest feels and its effect on us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Overcoming turbulence that exists in so many people’s lives can be realized today.  Many choose not to take authority and instead choose pharmaceuticals to medicate themselves.  Danger! Drug dependency is entirely inorganic and by no means the solution. Now, there are those who suffer from a chemical imbalance, and under the care of a health professional, may be prescribed a safe use of medication.  However, there are many cases where drugs are inadequately prescribed and a dependency develops.  In some instances, the chemical imbalance can be corrected by other lifestyle choices.  The abuse of drugs exacerbates problems. The problem is still there, and if you develop a dependency on drugs you now have an additional problem. The best answer is discovering REST as an organic solution.

We all have felt that nudge of unrest, however, from this moment on, speak to it and choose to not let it control you.  Avoid embracing it. The beginning of rest is learning to say “You are not welcome here anymore, sir.”  It’s at this juncture that the process of taking back your real estate inch by inch begins. Each intentional action brings you just that much closer to finding rest for your soul.

In our fast-paced world, we pursue the accumulation of things rather than the quality of our mental state.  There’s no profit in gaining the world and losing our soul.  Our intellect, will, and emotions are critical to our survival.  In fact, our spiritual essence is vital to our wellness.  Wealth isn’t our enemy, however, the love of it becomes a taskmaster.  Wealth is a reward to empower your vision, help others, and live a peaceful life. When we set our priorities in the right order, only then, will we discover the peace that surpasses all turbulence.  Rest is a liberator, and it emancipates all who will embrace Him.

In fact, this rest isn’t sleeping.  It is an ability to be still and possess a faith abiding confidence in Him. Almighty God is the key to REST. He is the architect and provides us with the design of a corrective posture to overcome. Today, desire God’s REST!  It’s a place we get to in Him. Israel did not enter into the promise because they did not come into His REST!  “He shall enter into peace; They shall rest in their beds, Each one walking in his uprightness.” Isaiah 57:2 (NKJV)    Walking uprightly yields a sacred rest. Knowing that you did what was right is a breath of fresh air.  A righteous act of obedience gives birth to serenity.

Make a decision to rid yourself of every distraction today. Whether it’s your home life, work environment or something else, choose to let it go.  The right attitude determines your altitude. REST is possible once we decide to move forward.  So decide to take that step today.

Breaking Strongholds in 2018 Wed, 24 Jan 2018 01:12:13 +0000 […]]]> Hi, I’m Dr. Anthony Earl and this is my first Blog on my new website. I hope as we journey together this year you’ll find interesting topics on this platform. They will be designed to enrich you and assist in you becoming successful in your spiritual, intellectual, and emotional development.

For my first Blog, I have chosen the subject on Breaking Strongholds in Your Life. A fascinating topic I’m sure. If you thought the same, then I believe I’m in the right ballpark.  The year 2018 has entered in with a fast trajectory. I’m sure some you haven’t quite gotten settled in with completing your New Year’s Resolutions. Have you found yourself setting new goals and becoming anxious to start them at the beginning of the new year only to find that you had not accomplished all that you hoped year after year? This result may be due to some interesting work behind the scenes sabotaging you from being successful.  Yes, there are many factors at play that are determined to thwart any plans you may have to win.

Let’s take a look at a couple of possible reasons. Could it be you who is your first distraction? Attitude is dominant for momentum. The wrong mindset easily affects your latitude. I’m sure you have heard others say “Your attitude determines your altitude.”  The right attitude is critical to your movement. So work on you and refuse to allow yourself to demolish your hopes and dreams before getting started. Examine your heart, out of it flows the forces that either destroy or cultivate you.  Eliminate the negativity that breeds any corruption that feeds on you.  Read books that will expose, inspire, and uplift you. I recommend the number one book of all time, The Bible. Yep, The good ole Bible. It is full of extraordinary insights, wisdom nuggets and more. It has served as a plumb line of correction and has inspired me and thousands to become a better person.  The Kingdom benefits as you grow in Him.

Lastly, birds of the same feathers do flock together.  Change your environment, the type of people who you orbit with can become a determining factor in one’s life.  How can two walk together unless they agree? Haters hate, so why waste your precious time hanging with them.  Words aptly spoken are like apples of gold in settings of silver. One of those excellent proverbs found inside of that great book.  We all need cheerleaders who shout with a loud rallying cry.  With shouts of grace, grace, and grace to you as you take on the new desire in 2018.  These are valuable keys to experience the success you have longed for. They will no doubt break strongholds that have prevented you from succeeding in life.

I invite you to join me and others this year as we Journey through the Bible and extract principles that will assure a very enriched life and free you from many of the bondages that hinder your movement in  2018 and beyond.
